'Rotating Wallpapers for your Website' on scodal.com
|
|
This is an internet SECRET so don't
tell anyone. I can't stop anyone from doing it and it will only encourage further growth of scodal.com and me
wanting to take more photographs to add to this anyways.. so I've decided to share the link to everyone for them to use as their
background wallpaper on anything they do on the web.
Let me show you what I mean.. The magic link
is: http://www.scodal.com/bck/rotate.php
When you use that or visit it it will always display a different
photo from my digital camera. To you nerdy people, this means you can use it in your HTML, CSS, PHP, and stuff.. for example your stylesheet.. make a
class for your background to use that URL as an the image like this:
body { background-image:
url('http://www.scodal.com/bck/rotate.php'); }
I didn't brand any of the photos because I realize that would be tacky. So, the only
other thing you might want to know is that all the photos fade out to the hex color #D5D5D5 at the bottom. That's the shade of gray to match your
layout background with.
For example, to use on your Myspace layout use this
code:
body { background-image: url('http://www.scodal.com/bck/rotate.php'); background-color: color:
#d5d5d5; background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
Yep, that's right just put
that in your profile bio and hit save. I spiced that code up a little bit to make sure it works perfect for
you. You can use that same code in your website too! Spread the love.
I ask one favor if you use
my photos on your website, myspace, or wherever you find it useful: Please put a link somewhere on your page back to scodal.com I don't care how big or small, just something... I'll let you decide.
For example,
every time you refresh this page or blog post, whatever you want to call it, it's going to display a different photo... I've
included the photo below. It's never the same one twice, just like in the background on this website.
Sample
Photo:
So, if you refreshed this
page over and over (which I wish you wouldn't do, just visit here if you want to see more
photos) you could just keep hitting F5 (refresh).
Who's confused right now?
Thanks, and I hope someone really enjoy using this... post your comments below and I'll check out your links!
